Street Wanderer in Garosugil
For 20 days I got to live as a Seoul local in the affluent neighborhood of Garosugil in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-Gu. Out of all the places in Seoul, Garosugil was definitely the place I wanted to be in. Waking up in the morning to the smell of freshly brewed coffee and baked pastries and seeing the city gradually come to life was simply perfect.
I wore a thin long sleeve crop top and high waisted shorts to hide from the sun and keep cool from Seoul's humidity! I topped this simple city-wandering outfit off with a floppy hat!
My manager, Mister Rocks. recommended me to Jane's Picky Cafe (although I think they also go by Jane's Picky Pizza) for their coffee and their carrot cake ... it was the best carrot cake I've ever had! Inside Jane's Picky Cafe you can find the headshots of models from Curmas Model Agency. The one in the photo above is Do Jin Kim! *squeals*
Bear? 곰!
Coffee Smith is hands down my favorite cafe. The blueberry cheesecake, cappuccino, and yogurt frappe were so good, but the ambiance is what you're really paying for. Coffee Smith is a great place to take a break from walking and shopping. I enjoyed people watching and seeing the city pass us by more than anything else.
Garosugil is one big street filled with shops and second story cafes! You're missing out if you don't explore the alleys. Tons of restaurants, fashion boutiques and coffee shops are nestled in the alleys. Photographers roam the busy streets, so best to be well-dressed in case you get street snapped!
